In addition to disaster relief, the American Red Cross is a leader in community
education and emergency preparedness. We are able to provide quality services to
the community thanks to caring volunteers who give of their time and talents.

Disaster Services
Provide emergency assistance following natural disasters, fires, and acts of terrorism | |
Become of a member of the Disaster Action Team, which serves predominantly local, small-scale disasters | |
Be deployed out-of-state to work large-scale disasters |
Serve as a communication link (caseworker) between service personnel and their families | |
Offer Veterans' Support |
Instruct courses in CPR, First Aid, and Workplace Safety | |
Teach classes in the Aquatics programs | |
Staff First Aid Stations at community and sporting events |
Become a Basic Aid Training (B.A.T.) or First Aid for Children Today (F.A.C.T.) instructor to share first aid information with children | |
Become a Babysitting Instructor | |
Work in the School Health Clinic program | |
Organize service projects for youth civic and church groups |
Assist with Special Events | |
Provide administrative assistance at the Chapter House, such as answering phones and organizing mailings | |
Provide property assistance at the Chapter House, such as landscaping and cleaning | |
Recruit and orient new volunteers |
