This event is the community’s opportunity to recognize its hometown heroes for their heroic acts, good deeds, and contribution to the safety and well-being of our community.

The 2009 Breakfast Ceremony will be held on May 21st.

Awardees will be people who, within the calendar year 2008, responded to a crisis to provide comfort or leadership and/or provided an example to others in our community about dedication to the community in times of need. Awards will be presented to one hero in each of nine categories:

The Heroes of Blount County Breakfast, in addition to offering the opportunity to salute our heroes, is the Red Cross’s largest fundraiser and allows the community an opportunity to support the Red Cross as it responds to disasters and emergencies in Blount County.
