Our Mission

The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization led by volunteers and guided by its Congressional Charter and the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross Movement, will provide relief to victims of disaster and help people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.   (Last Modified 5/24/2003 2:26:57 PM)

About Us

Since 1917, the Blount County Chapter of the American Red Cross has carried out the Red Cross Mission on a local level. We are pleased to offer training and education programs including CPR, First Aid, Lifeguarding, Learn to Swim, Disaster Preparedness Training, and numerous youth oriented courses. In addition, we provide services to individuals affected by disaster in their most critical time of need.

Our community partners, donors, and volunteers have supported us for ninety years, and we look forward to being part of Blount County for many more to come. The need for volunteers and donors is ongoing. There are many opportunities for you to be involved and make a difference.
